‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.’

I was revisiting Phillip Toledano’s project on his father today and was once again touched by the intensity of the story. You find so many projects by photographers of their grandparents houses and lives and I can completely understand why. When you loose someone like that you worry you are going to loose your memories of them and the memories of how they lived. This induced me into taking photos around my own nans house and though I don’t wish to publish the whole set of images at the moment, here is one of my favourites.

I’m really into this song at the moment

ITS ENDED!

I can’t believe it, the time has come that I have to say goodbye to the ‘west wing’. I watched the final episode tonight and i’m going to miss it. If you have never watched it or got into it, try! It is incredible, the script is fantastic and you learn so much about american politics. A truly incredible piece of television drama.
